How Clean is the Water We Surf In?
In our January meeting, Dr Jack Skinner and John Kappeler gave us an in depth look into the quality of the water we are surfing in.
Did you know that “safe” bacteria limits would result in 1 in 50 of us getting some sort of illness after swimming or surfing.

Now that you know, come out and join us at 52nd street Newport Beach, Saturday 6 February from 3:00PM for a beach clean up. We will need extra hands this month after all the rain.
RockWater event a huge success Annual Rockwater Relay Race on March 20th raising awareness about the watershed. What gets thrown out on the streets will end up in our oceans and on our beaches.
Next Public meeting April 21st at Hurley Headquarters. Meeting starts at 5:30 pm for Hurley Store shopping and general meeting will begin at 6 pm. All of our meetings for 2010 will be at Hurley Town Hall. 1945 Placentia Ave, Costa Mesa, CA 92703.
